Product Description
It’s not too late to plant Hot Peppers as Serrano peppers are a perennial variety which means that the plants can keep producing and with winter protection, they can live up to 35 years. Keep in mind that you need to cover or place the plants under a roof during the winter if you live in zones 9 or lower. If you live in zones 10- 11, you can grow them all year without winter protection.
In the Mountainous areas of the Mexican states of Puebla and Hidalgo, the serrano pepper (Capsicum annuum) first appeared. The pepper’s name alludes to the sierras, or mountains, in these areas. The serrano pepper is one of the most widely used peppers in the Mexican Cuisine, only behind the Jalapeño in everyday use. Perfect for Salsas and Soups. The serrano peppers are perennial which means they can live and produce peppers for many years with winter cover. You will get a Serrano Live Plant in a 3.5′ Pot.
